The culture of impunity that gave rise to the mass execution of political prisoners in 1988 is still the same that leads to the imprisonment and execution of thousands of activists in Iran today. Therefore, the task of Justice88 is to shed light on crimes of past while simultaneously working to prevent similar human rights violations in the future.
Based on such objectives, this year’s Justice88 program is being held with the presence of prominent human rights activists as well as popular dedicated artists on Sunday Sep. 15th.”

CANADA MUST INVESTIGATE ALL IRANIANS WITH TIES TO THE IRANIAN REGIME, AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROMOTE THE NEFARIOUS ACTIVITIES AND AGENDA OF THE IRANAIN REGIME IN CANADA

According to Basel Institute for Governance, among 146 nations reviewed, Iran's Islamic government leads the world in money laundering. Additionally, based on report released this month by Transparency International Canada titled as “Why Criminals Love Canadian Real Estate”, “domestic criminals have known for decades that Canada is ‘la la land’ for financial crimes”. Therefore, we, the undersigned, as concerned Canadian citizens are deeply disturbed by the news that individuals with close ties to the Iranian regime, or family members of Iranian officials, have been able to bypass Canada's vetting process and obtain Canadian residency, while bringing embezzled funds to Canada. We believe that many of those with ties to the Iranian government are living in Canada with stolen funds. The issue is not limited to one or two recent high-profile cases, but it includes many with close ties with the Iranian regime.

We are therefore calling on your government and Department of Immigration Canada to open an extensive investigation regarding the transfer of assets by immigrants with ties to the Iranian government who have arrived in Canada over the past two decades. In addition, we are requesting that Iranian government officials implicated in financial crimes and human rights violations be sanctioned under Canada’s Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials (Sergei Magnitsky Law).

We also believe that there are a number of organizations in Canada who openly promote the Iranian regime’s hate policies which run counter to Canadian values while portraying themselves as community representatives and humanitarian organizations. The most active of such groups is the “Iranian Canadian Congress (ICC)", leaders of which are actually family members of Iranian officials. The ICC promotes the interests of the Iranian government in Canada while undermining Canadian values and democratic principles here in Canada. They are not representative of the larger Canadian-Iranian community nor the freedom loving people suffering under the Iranian regime.
